Responsibilities:

• Provide expert legal advice on a wide range of financial services matters, including banking, securities, investment, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure legal strategies align with business objectives.
• Stay abreast of changes in financial regulations and assess their impact on the organization.
• Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Draft, review, and negotiate financial agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Advise on the legal aspects of financial transactions, mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate activities.
• Assess legal risks associated with financial transactions and business activities.
• Develop risk mitigation strategies and provide guidance on risk management best practices.
• Collaborate with external counsel in litigation matters related to financial services.
• Assist in dispute resolution and litigation strategy, when necessary.
• Communicate complex legal concepts to clients and internal teams in a clear and understandable manner.
• Provide legal support to clients on financial matters and ensure excellent client service.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the bar in the relevant jurisdiction.
• 3 years of experience practicing law with a focus on financial services (specific years depending on seniority level).
• In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, securities laws, and banking laws.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.
