Key Responsibilities:

Direct the Company’s accounting functions and practices and coordinate the day-to-day functions of the accounting staff
Oversee the preparation and execution of the financial close financial close, reconcile balance sheet accounts, analyze complex P&L financial data, and prepare management reports and other financial information.
Participate in management reporting and policy making as it pertains to the accounting department
Ability to communicate and make recommendations to senior level executives as well as various department heads
Provide technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems within the functional limits of the accounting department
Responsible for preparing quarterly financial statements, general journal entries, account reconciliations, year-end audits, and annual budgets
Assist in reviewing trial balance accounts prior to preparation of quarterly financial statements
Maintain the Company’s system of accounts and keep books and records on all transactions and assets
Ensure compliance with the Company’s capital reporting process
Ensure that all accounts balance and reconcile on a monthly basis
Establish, review, and maintain system of internal financial controls
Manage and/or participate in special accounting projects as assigned
Coach, mentor, and train the accounting team for professional development
Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in accounting
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
Proficient with accounting software
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other
Strong analytical skills and the ability to solve problems in a timely manner
Self-starter, strong work ethic, and a team player
Experience with job costing, WIP and cost accounting required
CPA and/or accounting master’s degree preferred
