We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Technician to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to maintaining the high standard of service and quality that our clients have come to expect. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, installing, and maintaining our packaging equipment on various sites. This role will involve working with cutting-edge technology, including PLC systems, and requires a high level of technical knowledge and practical skills.

Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and repair packaging equipment, including palletizers, depalletizers, and packers, in line with company standards and procedures.
• Utilize your expertise in ladder logic programming to troubleshoot and repair PLC systems, specifically Siemens and Allen Bradley.
• Perform preventive maintenance on machines to ensure they are in optimal condition and reduce the likelihood of unexpected breakdowns.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings to identify and resolve issues with equipment.
• Use your strong mechanical skills to perform various tasks, including equipment repair and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with packaging equipment, applying your knowledge of the metric system to ensure accurate measurements and adjustments.
• Provide field service, travelling to different sites as necessary to install, maintain, and repair equipment.
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the packaging industry, specifically working with packaging equipment such as palletizers, depalletizers, and packers.
• Proven experience with programming, particularly with ladder logic.
• Strong mechanical skills, with a focus on preventive maintenance.
• Experience with Siemens and Allen Bradley PLC systems is essential.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings.
• Familiarity with the metric system, particularly in the context of machine maintenance and adjustment.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience providing field service and performing equipment installations.
• Strong understanding of safety regulations and standards in the construction industry.
• Ability to travel to different sites as required by the role.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to non-technical clients.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
