Job Details

Position Overview: We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our Service team. Our service team is responsible for the programming, start up, after installation maintenance and field service support of the products we represent. The Field Service Technician position will service our client base in the New England with a primary focus on Boston Metro Area

The ideal candidate should have the desire to learn, have experience working with low voltage electrical control systems and control software. Typical tasks will include visiting our client’s facilities or job sites to start-up/commissioning newly installed system components, as well as ongoing maintenance, calibration, and certification of our previously installed DDC laboratory room airflow and fume hood controls.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate strong analytical skills, ability to understand project mechanical
drawings, project wiring diagrams, component wiring diagrams, be proficient in using electrical meters (ability to use
oscilloscopes and anemometers is a plus)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to create sequence of operations (programming logic)
  • Experience working with Building Automation Controls
  • Understand point to point electrical wiring diagrams
  • Understand and be able to create sequence of operations for control systems
  • Proficient computer skills, MS Windows, Excel, Visio & AutoCAD (preferred)
  • Represent the company in a positive manner to other trades, contractors and owners
  • Diligent about maintaining a high level of customer service
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to travel site to site as needed
  • Able to prioritize and meet deadlines for site progress, report generation and the timely submission of reports/paperwork required for this position.
  • Must always work with a strong emphasis on ensuring your personal as well as the safety of others.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required
  • Be able to work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.

Education and/or Experience:
  • A High School Degree is required, and a 2-year technical degree is preferred.
  • 3+ Years of industry knowledge of the HVAC building automation industry
  • Clear Driving Record with current valid license required
  • Computer skills with knowledge of Windows and Excel. Knowledge of Visio and Auto Cad is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of building HVAC systems (AHU’s, Exhaust Fans and ductwork layout is a positive).
