Field Service Engineer (Semiconductor)

We are a technology driven company that develops and supplies 3D inspection machines used in a wide variety of applications ranging from SMT (Surface Mount Technology) manufacturing to semiconductor processes.

SUMMARY:
We are seeking a highly motivated Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. As an Application Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing surface mount technology (SMT) solutions for our clients. You will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide them with customized solutions that meet their requirements.

MUST HAVES:

• SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Experience
• Knowledge of MS Suites
• US Passport
• Valid Driver’s License
• Electrical mechanical Skills

NICE TO HAVES:

• AOI (Automated Optical Inspection)
• SPI (Solder Paste Inspection)

TRAVEL:

• You will travel up to 70% Domestic & International. Location consist of Mexico, Costa Rica, Brazil, Argentina, Korea, USA, and Canada.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop SMT solutions for our clients
• Conduct feasibility studies to determine the best approach for each project
• Work closely with customers to understand their requirements and provide them with customized solutions
• Provide technical support to customers during the implementation phase
• Conduct training sessions for customers on how to use our SMT solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to SMT solutions
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of SMT solutions
• Conduct regular reviews of SMT solutions to ensure they are meeting customer requirements
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in SMT technology and make recommendations for improvements to our solutions

Qualifications:

• Associate or higher in electronics, micro electronics, industrial electronics, OR mechanical engineering
• 2+ years of experience in SMT technology
• Strong knowledge of SMT technology and related equipment
• Experience with Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) and Solder Paste Inspection (SOI)
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed
