Job Details

Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the livestock division, ensuring all activities are carried out effectively and efficiently.
2. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, efficiency, and profitability of the livestock operations.
3. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in animal welfare, biosecurity, and environmental sustainability.
4. Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, regulatory bodies, and community groups.
5. Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence.
6. Monitor and control operational costs, ensuring optimal use of resources and maximum return on investment.
7. Analyze market trends and customer needs, developing strategies to capitalize on opportunities and mitigate risks.
8. Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to promote our products and services, enhancing our market position and brand reputation.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in farming operations, with a focus on livestock management.
2. Proven track record of managing a successful livestock operation, with demonstrable results in improving productivity, efficiency, and profitability.
3. Strong knowledge of animal welfare regulations, biosecurity standards, and environmental sustainability practices.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a proven ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
5. Strong strategic thinking and business acumen, with the ability to develop and implement effective operational strategies.
6. Exceptional communication and relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
7. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address operational challenges and risks.
8. Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Animal Science, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
