Position Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Family Law Paralegal to join our team and support a group of six attorneys in our Boston office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in family law, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. This position offers the opportunity for professional growth and development within a prestigious firm known for its commitment to excellence.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist attorneys in all stages of family law cases, including drafting legal documents, pleadings, and correspondence.
  • Conduct legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations relevant to family law matters.
  • Prepare and organize discovery materials, including requests for production, interrogatories, and subpoenas.
  • Coordinate with clients to gather necessary information and documents for case preparation.
  • Manage case files, including organizing and maintaining electronic and physical records.
  • Coordinate scheduling and calendar management for attorneys, including court appearances, meetings, and deadlines.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including preparing exhibits, witness lists, and trial binders.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel in a professional manner.
  • Provide administrative support to attorneys, including filing, photocopying, and other tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working as a paralegal in family law.
  • Strong knowledge of family law procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Proficiency in legal research and writing.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal case management software.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
