Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic Extrusion Supervisor to join our team for 2nd shift (3pm - 11pm). This position will play a pivotal role in managing the daily operations of the extrusion department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in aluminum, casting, extrusion, and metal operations. This role requires an individual with a keen eye for detail, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. As our Extrusion Supervisor, you will be responsible for ensuring that our production processes meet industry standards and that our team operates in a safe and effective manner.

Responsibilities:

1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of the extrusion team.
2. Ensure that all extrusion equipment is in good working order, scheduling maintenance and repairs as necessary.
3. Monitor production schedules and quality control processes to ensure that products meet the required specifications.
4. Train, mentor, and guide team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
5. Maintain thorough production records, tracking all relevant data and producing reports as required.
6. Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and efficient production processes.
7. Requisition materials and supplies as necessary to maintain optimal production levels.
8. Implement and enforce safety rules and regulations, ensuring that all team members adhere to best practices.
9. Continuously assess and improve production processes, implementing changes as necessary to increase efficiency and quality.
10. Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise within the team, ensuring that all team members feel supported and heard.

Qualifications:

1. Hands-on experience in metals extrusion or similar role in the metal industry.
2. Knowledge of aluminum, casting, extrusion, and metal operations.
3. Experience with requisitioning materials and maintaining production records.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. Proficiency in using industry-standard software and equipment.
8. A strong commitment to safety and quality.
9. The ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
10. A degree in a relevant field would be a plus, but is not required.
