Estimator

Currently they are growing their affordable housing and development division, focusing on home builds as well as apartment style builds across the east coast. This role will work in tandem with a Project Executive and Chief Estimator. Tons of opportunity for growth as well as autonomy in the tasks you're completing.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze blueprints and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Utilize Bluebeam, Procore, and other software for project estimation and construction estimating.
• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
• Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
• Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
• Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
• Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
• Review preliminary takeoff and rescoping bids and prepare final budgets.
• Prepare reports and presentations to explain estimates and bids.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Construction Estimating, Project Estimation, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam, Procore, or equivalent software is essential.
• Experience in affordable housing, home building, and multifamily projects.
• Strong knowledge of Project Bidding, Cost Analysis, Blueprint Reading, Material Take Off (MTO), On-Screen Take Off, Preliminary takeoff, rescoping bids, and bid reviewal.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
