Estimator

A family-owned commercial contractor in Charlotte, NC is looking for a Junior Electrical Estimator to join their team! This group works on numerous projects across Charlotte including Bank of American Stadium and well-known resorts. This Estimator will be reporting to the Estimating Manager, work closely with customers, and build a team underneath them. Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate and timely estimates for commercial construction projects
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, engineers, and clients to ensure accurate estimates
• Identify and quantify cost factors, such as materials, labor, and equipment
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and proposals and incorporate them into estimates
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices
• Participate in project meetings and provide input on cost-related issues
• Review and analyze project costs, budgets, and schedules to ensure profitability and efficiency
• Assist with project management tasks as needed

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial construction project management, Accubid, Conest, electrical construction, and commercial estimation
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimation software
• Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
• Detail-oriented and organized
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
