We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team in the construction industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned professional to contribute their expertise in a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for projects to aid management in bidding on or determining the price of construction or related jobs. This role requires an individual with a strong understanding of construction processes, excellent numerical skills, and an analytical mindset.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze blueprints, construction drawings, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
2. Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects, or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops.
3. Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4. Conduct special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
5. Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
6. Prepare estimates for use in selecting vendors or subcontractors.
7. Review material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
8. Prepare cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.
9. Prepare and maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors.
10. Set up cost monitoring and reporting systems and procedures.
11. Establish and maintain tendering process, and conduct negotiations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
2. 3+ years of experience as an Electrical Estimator, Cost Manager, or similar role within the construction industry.
3. Proven experience in cost management, project estimation, project bidding, budgeting, and construction management.
4. Proficiency in computer software, including estimation software and spreadsheet software.
5. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with high-level accuracy in calculations and estimations.
6. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present and explain cost decisions to stakeholders and team members.
7. Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
8. Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
9. In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
10. Exemplary problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
