Estimator

Our construction company is seeking a Permanent Estimator with Blueprint Experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and experience with estimating and interpreting blueprints. Responsibilities:

• Review and analyze project plans and specifications to create accurate and detailed cost estimates
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to ensure estimates meet project requirements and deadlines
• Prepare and submit bid proposals to clients, including detailed cost breakdowns and timelines
• Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate pricing and terms
• Monitor project costs and make adjustments as necessary to ensure profitability
• Communicate effectively with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure successful project completion
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and pricing to ensure competitive bidding

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in the construction industry as an estimator or similar role
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and equipment
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawing s
• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and estimating software
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
