Estimator

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our fast-paced finance team. This exciting role involves working closely with our finance and construction teams to provide accurate and timely estimates that will drive our business decisions. The successful candidate will have a strong background in Civil Construction Estimating and will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for our projects. Responsibilities:

• Utilize your knowledge and expertise in Civil Construction to prepare detailed cost estimates for various projects.
• Collaborate with the finance team to develop comprehensive financial reports.
• Evaluate different cost factors and assess economic and financial viability of projects.
• Analyze blueprints, construction plans and project specifications to gain a deep understanding of the complete cost of a project.
• Communicate with vendors, clients, contractors and team members regarding new and current projects.
• Prepare risk assessments and provide mitigation strategies.
• Regularly review and update cost databases and estimation protocols.
• Monitor the progress of projects and adjust estimates and budgets as necessary.
• Participate in project management, planning, budgeting and scheduling.
• Work closely with project managers and other team members to ensure that cost estimates are accurate and projects are within budget.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Estimator in the Civil Construction industry.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance or related field.
• Proficient with Estimating software and tools.
• Strong financial and business acumen.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and high-quality work under pressure.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
• Knowledge of industry trends, regulations and standards.
