Established for over 20 years we work on some of the most exciting and technical projects in the area. Our company, a leader in the construction industry, is seeking a passionate and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a motivated professional who has a keen eye for detail, superior numerical skills, and a deep understanding of the construction industry. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our projects, providing accurate cost estimates that will form the basis of our bidding process and financial planning. This role requires a balance of technical expertise, analytical ability, and strategic thinking.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing proposed plans and specifications, and identifying factors affecting costs such as production time, materials, and labor.
• Develop project budgets and work with the project management team to ensure projects stay within budget.
• Participate in the preparation and submission of project bids, including gathering all necessary data to ensure accurate estimation.
• Conduct a risk and opportunity analysis for each project estimate.
• Perform a value engineering assessment of different options and identify the ones that provide the best value.
• Conduct regular cost analysis and prepare reports for management to support decision-making.
• Manage contracts, including negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors, to ensure the best possible terms for the company.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and developments to ensure estimates are accurate and competitive.

Qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in construction estimating or a related role.
• Proficiency in project estimation, construction estimating, value engineering, project bidding, cost analysis, and contract management.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex plans and specifications.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to interact effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficiency in using estimating software and other industry-standard tools.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• A thorough understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of local construction methods, materials, and regulations.
