Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Estimator to join our team in the Construction industry. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in our company's success by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for our construction projects. This position will require a deep understanding of the construction process and the ability to forecast the cost of different projects accurately. The chosen candidate will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects, collaborate with a team of professionals, and contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Responsibilities:

1. Review and evaluate Requests for Bids (RFBs), thoroughly understanding project specifications and requirements.
2. Perform detailed analysis of architectural blueprints, schematics, and plans to estimate the cost of projects.
3. Participate in project bidding processes, preparing comprehensive, accurate, and competitive bids.
4. Conduct risk assessments for potential projects, identifying potential cost overruns and other financial risks.
5. Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other professionals to gather necessary information for accurate project estimation.
6. Maintain current knowledge of industry trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitiveness in project bidding.
7. Prepare and present estimation reports to management, clients, and other stakeholders, clearly explaining the basis for cost estimates.
8. Work closely with the procurement team to ensure that all necessary materials are available for projects.
9. Regularly update all cost estimation databases and software, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is available for project bidding.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the construction industry.
2. Proficiency in Blueprint Reading, Project Bidding, Construction Estimating, and Risk Assessment.
3. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
4. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
5. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex information to a variety of audiences.
7. Proficiency in using computer software for construction estimating and project management.
8. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving, with the ability to anticipate potential issues and develop effective solutions.
10. A team player with excellent collaboration skills, but also able to work independently when required.
