Job Details

We are currently seeking a highly skilled Permanent Estimator to join our team, specializing in Sheet Metal Fabrication within the Construction industry. This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to demonstrate their expertise in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing accurate and competitive estimates for our sheet metal fabrication projects. This position requires a meticulous individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality work and has a keen eye for detail.

Responsibilities

1. Prepare detailed cost estimates for sheet metal fabrication projects by analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation.
2. Utilize AutoCAD software to create detailed drawings and plans for fabrication processes.
3. Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
4. Evaluate and adjust estimates based on changes in design, materials, labor costs, and other factors.
5. Maintain a comprehensive database of materials, labor costs, and other relevant data for future reference.
6. Collaborate with the fabrication team to ensure estimates align with production capabilities and project timelines.
7. Provide technical support to the project management and fabrication teams throughout the project lifecycle.
8. Continuously monitor industry trends and advancements to ensure our estimating practices remain competitive.

Qualifications

1. Background in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Three years of experience in estimating, specifically within the sheet metal fabrication sector.
3. Proficiency in AutoCAD software and other relevant estimating tools.
4. Extensive knowledge of sheet metal fabrication processes, materials, and labor costs.
5. Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
6. Exceptional analytical and mathematical skills with a high level of accuracy.
7. Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
8. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure.
10. Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to sheet metal fabrication.
