Are you a dynamic, detail-oriented individual with a passion for the construction industry, particularly in the realms of metal framing and drywall? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! As a Permanent Estimator specializing in Metal Framing/Drywall, you will play a critical role in our construction projects. This position is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys crunching numbers, and has an eye for detail. You will be a key player in ensuring the financial success of our projects and will work closely with our project managers and clients to deliver cost-effective solutions. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in the construction industry, specifically in metal framing and drywall.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Estimator for Metal Framing/Drywall, your responsibilities will include:

1. Preparing detailed cost estimates for our construction projects, focusing on metal framing and drywall.
2. Analyzing blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
3. Consulting with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
4. Conducting special studies to develop and establish standard hour and related cost data or effect cost reductions.
5. Reviewing material and labor requirements to decide whether it is more cost-effective to produce or purchase components.
6. Preparing estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
7. Preparing cost and expenditure statements and other necessary documentation at regular intervals for the duration of the project.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Estimator- Metal framing/Drywall role should possess the following:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, particularly in metal framing and drywall.
2. Proven experience as an estimator or similar position.
3. Familiarity with financial and project management principles.
4. In-depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas.
5. Exquisite math and IT ability with an analytical mindset.
6. Proficient in relevant software (Timberline, HCSS, ProEst, etc.)
7. Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities.
8. Thoroughness and reliability.
9. Excellent organizational skills.
10. BSc/BA in engineering, construction science, or relevant field is a plus.
11. Professional certification such as CPE will be considered an advantage.
