Job Details:
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Permanent Estimator to join our Commercial Construction team, specializing in K-12 projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in estimating, preconstruction, commercial projects, and ground-up construction. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in our company's success by accurately estimating the cost of upcoming projects, ensuring we deliver exceptional value to our clients while maintaining profitability.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for K-12 commercial construction projects, from initial budget preparation to final bidding.
• Analyze architectural drawings and technical specifications to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, clients, and subcontractors on project plans and designs.
• Review and evaluate cost estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Participate in the preconstruction process, including attending meetings with clients and team members.
• Manage and coordinate the bidding process, including vendor and subcontractor prequalification.
• Evaluate and manage risk in project estimates.
• Maintain a comprehensive database of up-to-date cost information to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.
• Provide ongoing updates and reports to project managers and senior management regarding cost estimation and budgeting.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial construction estimating, specifically in K-12 projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficient in estimating software and technologies.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Exceptional skills in analyzing blueprints and technical documents.
• Excellent mathematical and financial forecasting abilities.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• A team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of applicable local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
