Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems.
- Read technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Repair and replace equipment, electrical wiring, or fixtures.
- Follow National Electrical Code state and local building regulations.
- Circuits breaker corrective maintenance.
- Good knowledge of heating and air conditioning systems.
- Good knowledge of various test equipment.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician, or similar role.
- Demonstrated proficiency in electrical troubleshooting and machine maintenance tech.
- Solid knowledge of commercial electrical systems.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings.
- Ability to work independently and complete tasks to a high standard.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Mechanical Maintenance experience is a strong advantage.
- Must be able to work in a physically demanding environment, including lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
- Valid license to practice the profession.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, as required.
