Electrical Project Engineer-Power

We are looking for a talented and experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join our client's team. The Electrical Project Engineer will be responsible for initiating creative engineering solutions to production process issues through the modification and improvement of existing equipment and subcomponents, or the design and development of new products. This role requires a strong balance between hands-on experience and analytical engineering skills.

We are seeking a highly driven and innovative Electrical Project Engineer with a focus on Power to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial to our operations, as you will be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of electrical systems for a variety of heavy industrial projects. You will be working on exciting projects, including working with MV-LV power, substations, transformers, motor controllers, and heat tracing. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to work with leading-edge technology and a team of experienced professionals in the engineering industry.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop electrical systems for heavy industrial projects, ensuring they are safe, reliable, and efficient.
2. Work with MV-LV power, substations, transformers, motor controllers, and heat tracing.
3. Conduct detailed calculations to develop manufacturing, construction, and installation standards and specifications.
4. Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
5. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks, particularly AutoCAD and Electrical Flow Diagrams.
6. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and technicians to ensure the successful completion of projects.
7. Provide high-quality technical support to clients, demonstrating an understanding of their needs and expectations.
8. Continuously monitor the latest trends and technologies in electrical engineering to ensure the company remains at the forefront of the industry.
9. Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the engineering industry.
3. Proven experience working with MV-LV power, substations, transformers, motor controllers, and heat tracing.
4. Proficiency in using engineering software, particularly AutoCAD and Electrical Flow Diagrams.
5. Experience in heavy industrial projects is highly desirable.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically and innovatively.
7. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
8. A strong commitment to safety and a proven track record of adhering to safety regulations.
9. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
