Responsibilities:
As an Electrical Foreman, your key responsibilities will include:
1. Supervising and coordinating the activities of electricians and helpers, ensuring that work is performed in accordance with relevant codes.
2. Planning and scheduling work assignments and coordinating with other trades.
3. Reading and interpreting drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications.
4. Inspecting installations and observing operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.
5. Troubleshooting and resolving complex electrical control issues.
6. Training and mentoring junior staff, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
7. Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance work and system shutdowns.
8. Communicating with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
To be considered for the Electrical Foreman role, you will need:
1. A minimum of 4 years of experience as an Electrical Foreman in the commercial or industrial sector.
2. Proven leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team.
3. Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, safety standards, and regulations.
4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and schematics.
5. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. A commitment to continuous learning and staying current with the latest industry trends and best practices.
8. A valid electrician's license.
