Electrical Estimator

We specialize in providing single service or turn-key EPC construction for PV solar, wind, and renewables, as well as industry leading electrical infrastructure, substations and large scale public sector construction services. We have completed hundreds of electrical utility projects in the past 60+ years throughout the United States and the Caribbean.

Responsibilities:

• Review and evaluate initial project plans and specifications
• Prepare estimates and establish budgets for projects ranging from $1 million to $30 million
• Review contracts to ensure that everything related to the estimate is included and accounted for
• Manage and estimate complex project requirements
• Additional duties as determined by Executives

Job Requirements:

• 5+ years estimating experience
• Strong knowledge of electrical and/or site and civil construction
• Works with numbers accurately
• Self motivated
• Highly organized
• Understands and can execute take-offs of construction documents
• Full knowledge and understanding of contracts; general requirements, general conditions, plans, specs, addendums, etc.
• Ability to write proposal and complete estimate without guidance
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and stay focused, as well as with a team
• Transportation, electrical, communications, or other contracting experience
• Familiarity with principals of cost estimating (computer based)
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Primavera, Cost estimation programs
