Electrical Department Manager, P.E

We are currently searching for an Electrical Department Manager in the Bay area.

The position has both an internal and external focus. The external responsibilities include: Represent our firm in the engineering community, participate in speaking engagements, author white papers and technical publications. Build and maintain strong client relationships. Identify pursuit opportunities through personal network.

Attend project interviews, contribute to proposal language, and assemble fees. The internal responsibilities include: Setting the goals and direction for the electrical engineers. Develop project workplans, identify staffing requirements, mentor staff, and monitor financial performance of all projects. Lead project teams in the execution of work. Establishment and/or maintenance of engineering quality control processes and procedures.

Additionally, this person needs to be a proactive employee who can foresee design forecasting or issues.

Qualifications

Bachelors Electrical Engineering.
Professional Engineer in the state of Florida
NCEES preferred
10 years in the design of engineering systems for commercial, educational, health care, industrial and retail facilities
Previous management experience preferred.
Local industry relationships preferred.
Excellent leadership and organizational skills.
LEED AP certified.
