Job Details

Primary Duties
Implement safe work procedures for Maintenance and Production.
Actively monitor and address unsafe conditions or actions.
Work with Production and Maintenance Departments to improve cycle times.
Increase pipe and coating mill availability, through use of daily and monthly maintenance reports.
Engineering support of both the pipe and coating mill to decrease downtime and increase operator and technician knowledge.
Implement capital and expensed improvements to advance safety, mill reliability and reduce overall costs.
Review plant energy usage and present ideas to reduce overall energy costs.
Actively pursue projects to reduce plant waste.
Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as infrared, oil analysis and ultrasonic so that equipment conditions are known and identify when to take corrective actions for planned maintenance.
Develop procedures for common maintenance jobs and assist in training technicians.
Provide root cause failure analysis for major breakdowns to prevent recurrence.
Identify where spare parts are needed in the storeroom.
Identify areas where PMs are missing or not of the proper frequency to keep downtime from happening.
Support TPEM program.
Lead the IDEA program activities.
Support Berg environmental, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
Boost co-operation between departments and mills

Education & Work Experience
Associate’s degree in engineering or equivalent in related work experience. (Required)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). (Required)
Bachelor’s degree in engineering. (Preferred)
Experience with statistical tools or analysis. (Preferred)
Heavy industrial manufacturing experience (Preferred)
