We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Division Controller to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact on our organization. The Division Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the division, establishing and maintaining financial policies and management information systems, as well as providing a high level of thought process to produce accurate reports. This role will also be instrumental in strategic planning, budget development, financial forecasting, and analysis for the division. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, finance, and business management, with a proven track record of effective financial management.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
2. Develop and maintain financial accounting systems for cash management, accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit control, and petty cash.
3. Direct and coordinate company financial planning and budget management functions.
4. Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and manage the preparation of management reports of budget versus actual performance.
5. Coordinate the preparation of financial statements, financial reports, special analyses, and information reports.
6. Work with department managers to develop five-year business plans.
7. Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal budgetary reporting requirements.
8. Oversee the approval and processing of revenue, expenditure, and position control documents, department budgets, and data entry.
9. Collaborate with other finance team members to support overall department goals and objectives.
10. Advise management on investment activities and provide strategies that the company should take.
11. Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. An MBA or Master’s degree in Finance is a plus.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
3. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position.
4. Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
5. Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
6. Exceptional knowledge of federal and state financial regulations.
7. Strong analytical skills and experience interpreting a strategic vision into an operational model.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
10. Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
