Our esteemed organization, renowned for its luxury goods, is seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Permanent Director of Supply Chain. This role embodies the core of our business operations and plays a crucial role in maintaining our brand's reputation for high-quality luxury goods. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing complex supply chains, preferably within the luxury goods industry. This is a unique opportunity to shape and manage the supply chain of a prestigious brand, ensuring the seamless flow of our luxury products from production to our high-end customers.

Responsibilities

As the Permanent Director of Supply Chain, you will:

1. Develop and implement strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, and efficiency of our supply chain operations.
2. Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, from sourcing and procurement to logistics and distribution.
3. Work closely with various departments such as sales, finance, and production to forecast demand and ensure inventory optimization.
4. Manage relationships with suppliers and vendors, ensuring the highest quality of goods at the most competitive prices.
5. Lead and inspire a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
6. Implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential disruptions in the supply chain.
7. Drive innovation in supply chain processes through the adoption of new technologies and methodologies.
8. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards related to supply chain operations.
9. Regularly review and report on supply chain performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.

Qualifications

The successful candidate must have:

1. A minimum of 10 years' experience in supply chain management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
2. Experience in the luxury goods industry is highly desirable.
3. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
4. Proven experience in managing complex, global supply chains.
5. Strong leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
6. Excellent negotiation skills, with a focus on building strong relationships with suppliers and vendors.
7. A strategic mindset, with the ability to foresee potential issues and implement effective solutions.
8. Proficiency in supply chain software and tools, as well as a strong understanding of data analysis.
9. Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to a variety of stakeholders.
