Job Details

The Director of Asset Security and Risk Management will be responsible for overseeing and implementing comprehensive loss prevention strategies to safeguard the company's assets, minimize financial losses, and ensure the safety of employees and customers. The Director of Asset Security and Risk Management will lead a team of loss prevention specialists and collaborate closely with cross-functional departments to identify risks, develop proactive measures, and investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or other security breaches.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and execute strategic plans to prevent loss and protect company assets, including inventory, equipment, and intellectual property.
2. Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of loss prevention specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure effective performance and adherence to company policies.
3. Conduct risk assessments and analyze data to identify vulnerabilities and trends, implementing proactive measures to mitigate potential threats.
4. Collaborate with store/branch managers, regional directors, and other stakeholders to establish and maintain effective loss prevention procedures and protocols.
5. Implement and manage surveillance systems, alarms, and access controls to enhance security measures across company facilities.
6. Investigate incidents of theft, fraud, or misconduct, utilizing investigative techniques and tools to gather evidence and identify perpetrators.
7. Partner with law enforcement agencies and legal counsel as needed to pursue legal action and recover losses resulting from criminal activities.
8. Develop and deliver training programs on loss prevention best practices, security protocols, and emergency response procedures for employees at all levels.
9. Monitor compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to security, privacy, and data protection.
10. Prepare regular reports and presentations for executive leadership, summarizing key performance metrics, incidents, and initiatives within the loss prevention function.


Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, or comparable experience.
  • Proven experience (minimum of 8 years) in loss prevention, asset protection, or security management, with a track record of implementing effective strategies and leading successful investigations.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent analytical abilities, with a keen attention to detail and the capacity to interpret complex data and trends.
  • Proficiency in security technologies, surveillance systems, and investigative tools/software.
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards related to loss prevention and asset protection.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and influence decision-making at all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated integrity, discretion, and ethical judgment in handling sensitive information and conducting investigations.
