Responsibilities:

As the Director of Safety, you will have a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the safety culture within our organization. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Developing and implementing comprehensive safety programs that comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
2. Conducting regular site audits to identify potential hazards and implementing corrective actions.
3. Providing guidance and leadership to the safety team, fostering a culture of safety across all levels of the organization.
4. Conducting safety training sessions for employees and contractors, and ensuring all personnel are aware of safety protocols.
5. Investigating accidents or incidents to discover causes and handle worker’s compensation claims.
6. Preparing reports on occurrences and providing statistical information to upper management.
7. Collaborating with project managers to ensure safety regulations are followed at all construction sites.
8. Staying current on new developments in health and safety to ensure the company's policies are up-to-date.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in construction safety management and possess the following qualifications:

1. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field.
3. In-depth knowledge of construction safety principles, including risk assessment and mitigation, safety training, and incident investigation.
4. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification and OSHA 500
5. Excellent knowledge of data analysis and risk assessment.
6. Outstanding attention to detail and observation ability.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities.
8. Proficient in MS Office; working knowledge of safety management information systems is a plus.
