Director of Quality Assurance

Title: Director of Quality Assurance
Location: Oxnard, CA
Salary: $150,000- $200,000
Requirements: Manufacturing/ Quality and ISO and AS Standards

1. Develop and implement the Quality Assurance strategy and roadmap, ensuring alignment with the overall business objectives.
2. Drive the development and maintenance of AS9100 and ISO-9000 standards across the organization.
3. Lead the Quality Assurance team in conducting audits, identifying non-compliance issues, and implementing corrective actions.
4. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and NADCAP standards.
5. Oversee the inspection and testing of mechanical valves to ensure they meet the required specifications and standards.
6. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency of the quality assurance process.
7. Liaise with external auditors and manage the audit process, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and available.
8. Monitor and report on quality-related key performance indicators (KPIs), providing regular updates to senior management.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. A Master’s degree would be advantageous.
2. A minimum of 3 years' experience in a Quality Assurance leadership role within the engineering industry.
3. In-depth knowledge of AS9100 and ISO-9000 standards is required.
4. Proven experience in implementing GMP and NADCAP standards.
5. Extensive knowledge of mechanical valves and their quality requirements.
6. Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a team.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.
9. Proficiency in using quality assurance software and tools.
