The Director of Propulsion role is an exciting, high-stakes position in the engineering industry. As a key player in our innovative, ambitious team, you will lead the development and execution of advanced propulsion systems that will revolutionize the space industry. You will be at the forefront of cutting-edge technology, pushing boundaries, and making history. This is an opportunity to work with a team of world-class engineers and scientists to create propulsion systems that will enable space exploration and interplanetary travel. 1. Lead the design, development, and qualification of innovative propulsion systems for space applications.
2. Provide technical leadership and guidance to a team of engineers and scientists.
3. Oversee the full lifecycle of propulsion systems, from concept development to flight qualification.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate propulsion systems into spacecraft.
5. Develop and implement strategies to improve the performance, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of propulsion systems.
6. Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
7. Stay abreast of the latest advancements in propulsion technology and incorporate them into our designs.
8. Present technical findings and project updates to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in the space industry, with a focus on propulsion systems.
2. Proven technical leadership skills, with the ability to guide and inspire a team of engineers.
3. Extensive experience in engineering design, particularly for propulsion systems.
4. Deep knowledge of liquid propulsion technology.
5. Experience with flight qualification of propulsion systems.
6. A degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and innovatively.
8. Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
9. A passion for space exploration and a desire to contribute to the advancement of the space industry.
