Director of Preconstruction (REMOTE)

As a VP Preconstruction & Procurement in the clean energy sector, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of renewable energy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to lead preconstruction and procurement efforts for a rapidly growing industry leader. Responsibilities:
1. Lead the preconstruction phase of renewable energy projects, providing expertise in cost estimation and budgeting.
2. Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of equipment and materials.
3. Oversee the financial performance of projects, implementing cost control measures and providing regular financial reports to senior management.
4. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget.
5. Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in renewable energy technologies, identifying opportunities for innovation and cost savings.
6. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors, negotiating contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including those related to safety, quality, and environmental sustainability.

Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 10 years of experience in preconstruction, with a focus on estimating and budgeting.
2. Proven experience leading the RFP and bid process.
3. Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
6. Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
7. Proficiency in relevant software, such as estimating and project management tools.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
