Director of Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director of Operations to join our team. The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing all construction operations, including field operations, earthworks, and construction management. This role requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar position.

Responsibilities:

• Lead, direct, and coordinate all construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
• Manage and oversee all field operations, including earthworks, to ensure the safety, efficiency, and effectiveness of all operations.
• Develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives that align with the company's objectives and drive operational excellence.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are planned and executed effectively.
• Oversee construction management, ensuring all projects are managed efficiently and effectively, with a focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for the construction and maintenance of structures and facilities.
• Monitor and control expenses within allotted budget and manage resources effectively.
• Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to the operations team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a senior operations role within the construction industry, with a focus on field operations, earthworks, and construction management.
• Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and lead a diverse team.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with all levels of the organization.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and navigate challenges effectively.
• Proficient in relevant construction software and technology.
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, equipment, and safety guidelines.
• Strong financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets effectively and maximize operational efficiency.
• Professional certification in Project Management (PMP) or Construction Management (CCM) is a plus.
• Must be willing to travel as required to oversee projects and meet with stakeholders.
