We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Director of Nursing to join our dynamic team in the medical industry. As the Director of Nursing, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff, ensuring that they provide high-quality patient care, and managing the day-to-day operations of the nursing department.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that meet the needs of patients and comply with state and federal regulations.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of nursing staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Ensure that all patient care plans are developed and implemented in a timely and effective manner.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement interdisciplinary care plans.
• Monitor patient outcomes and identify areas for improvement in patient care.
• Ensure that all nursing staff are properly trained and have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide high-quality care to patients.
• Manage the nursing department budget, ensuring that resources are used efficiently and effectively.
• Participate in the recruitment and hiring of nursing staff.
• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, promoting a positive work environment and fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and ensure that all documentation is completed in a timely and accurate manner.

Qualifications:

• Registered Nurse with a current license to practice in the state.
• Experience as a Director of Nursing in a skilled nursing or rehabilitation facility.
• Experience in geriatric care is strongly preferred.
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a team of nursing staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
• Knowledge of state and federal regulations related to nursing care.
• Ability to develop and implement nursing policies and procedures that meet the needs of patients and comply with regulations.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
