We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Financial Operations to join our Hospital Systems team in the Medical Industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that plays a vital role in our organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and revenue. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, who can drive financial excellence and improve our overall operations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial operations of our hospital systems, including budgeting, forecasting, cost accounting, and revenue.
  • Utilize Strata decision support system to analyze financial data and make informed business decisions.
  • Oversee the negotiation and management of payor contracts to ensure profitability and compliance.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with other department heads to align financial management with short and long-term operational strategies.
  • Provide financial reports to executive management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to financial operations.
  • Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue enhancement.
  • Lead and mentor a team of financial professionals, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial operations, preferably in the hospital or healthcare industry.
  • Proven experience with Strata or similar decision support system.
  • Strong knowledge of hospital accounting, cost accounting, and budgeting.
  • Experience in negotiating and managing payor contracts.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in using financial software and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
  • Knowledge of current financial regulations in the healthcare industry.
