This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to take on a pivotal role within our construction company. As the Permanent Director of Finance and Administration, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative operations. This includes managing AP, AR, and payroll departments, recruiting and training staff, monitoring costs, inventory, and expenses, preparing budgets, managing fixed assets, creating financial statements, and monthly reporting. You will also be responsible for facility management, applying deep knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques. Experience with AS400 is a plus.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all financial operations within the company, including AP, AR, and payroll departments.
  • Recruit, train, and manage staff across the finance and administration departments, ensuring a high level of competency and efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze costs, inventory, and expenses, identifying areas for potential savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Prepare and manage annual budgets, working closely with department heads to ensure financial objectives are met.
  • Manage fixed assets and ensure accurate and timely financial statements and monthly reporting.
  • Oversee facility management, ensuring all facilities are maintained and operated efficiently and effectively.
  • Apply deep knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques to drive financial performance.
  • Manage cash applications and collections, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations based on financial analysis.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction industry.
  • Proven experience managing AP, AR, and payroll departments, as well as recruiting and training staff.
  • Strong experience in cost, inventory, and expense monitoring, as well as budget preparation.
  • Experience with fixed assets, financial statements, and monthly reporting.
  • Knowledge of facility management principles and practices.
  • Deep knowledge of financial management principles, accounting standards, and financial analysis techniques.
  • Experience with cash applications and collections.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial management software. Experience with AS400 is a plus.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
