Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic Director of Development for our Non-Profit organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage our fundraising initiatives and donor relations while driving the growth and development of our operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising and non-profit industry experience. Familiarity with Salesforce is a significant asset. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all fundraising initiatives, including planning and executing strategies to secure funds from a diverse range of sources.
2. Develop and implement a comprehensive development strategy to include corporate, foundation, government grants, etc.
3. Oversee the development budget and monitor expenses against revenue goals.
4. Cultivate and nurture relationships with current and potential donors, and develop strategies to solicit new donors.
5. Maintain a robust pipeline of prospective donors and manage ongoing relationships.
6. Work closely with the finance team to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of fundraising income.
7. Collaborate with other departments to align fundraising efforts with the overall goals of the organization.
8. Utilize Salesforce and other tools to manage donor data and generate reports.
9. Stay updated on current trends in fundraising and the non-profit sector.
10. Represent the organization at public events, conferences, and fundraising events.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in fundraising, preferably in the non-profit sector.
2. Proven track record of developing and implementing successful fundraising strategies.
3. Experience with Salesforce or similar CRM software.
4. Strong networking skills with the ability to cultivate and manage donor relationships.
5. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
6. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
7. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
8. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in fundraising and the non-profit sector.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
