We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-driven Permanent Director of Business Development to join our team in the Engineering industry. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand our company's presence in the defense and engineering sector.
- Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities with government entities, focusing on missile defense, ground weapon systems, vehicle weapon systems, and missile launchers.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers within the Department of Defense and other related government entities.
- Lead negotiations for high-level contracts and partnerships, ensuring the best possible outcome for our company.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows, promoting our capabilities and forging new relationships in the sector.
- Regularly report on business development activities, providing insights, and recommendations for improvement to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the defense or engineering industry.
- Proven experience working with the Department of Defense, missile defense, ground weapon systems, vehicle weapon systems, and missile launchers.
- A strong track record of securing new business and meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation skills, with the ability to secure profitable contracts and partnerships.
- Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage with customers, stakeholders, and decision-makers at all levels.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the company at industry events and conferences.
- A strategic thinker, with the ability to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
- A team player, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams to meet customer requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget.
- A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field is required. An MBA or similar advanced degree is preferred.
