Job Details

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and forward-thinking Corporate Director of Accounting to join our leadership team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our organization's financial planning, policy development, and investment strategies. They will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, auditing, and internal control systems. This is a permanent role that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on our company's financial health and strategic direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement financial strategies and plans that align with the company's overall objectives.
  • Oversee the preparation of all financial reporting and ensure its accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Coordinate budgeting processes and implement cost control measures.
  • Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial consultants.
  • Evaluate and manage investment strategies and financial risks.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to make decisions on potential mergers, acquisitions, and investments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners such as investors, banks, and auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
  • Establish and maintain robust internal control systems to prevent inaccuracies in financial statements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting is required
  • MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 10 or more years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, with a proven track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of financial planning, budgeting, and risk management
  • Strong understanding of data analysis, forecasting methods, and performance/operation metrics
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate team members
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information in an easy-to-understand manner
  • Solid understanding of financial software and statistical analysis software
  • Strong analytical skills and a strategic mindset
  • Ability to navigate the complexities of a fast-paced, changing business environment
