Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of Global Logistics to join our fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be tasked with overseeing our company's global supply chain operations, ensuring efficiency and cost-effectiveness. This high-level position involves managing logistics, warehouse, transportation, and customer services. The role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, proficient in global logistics, contract negotiations, budget management, and transportation of goods.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement strategic global logistics and transportation plans to enhance operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
2. Oversee the coordination and execution of global logistics operations, including procurement, inventory management, warehousing, and transportation.
3. Negotiate contracts with suppliers, vendors, and freight forwarders to ensure cost-effective services and compliance with international trade regulations.
4. Develop and manage logistics KPIs, ensuring continuous improvement in processes and systems.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate logistics with business systems or processes, such as customer sales, order management, accounting, and shipping.
6. Manage logistics budget, providing regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and costs.
7. Ensure compliance with global and regional logistics regulations and standards.
8. Develop risk management programs to ensure continuity of supply in emergency scenarios.
9. Manage and develop a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred.
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in a senior logistics role within the manufacturing industry.
3. Proven experience in global logistics, contract negotiations, budget management, and transportation of goods.
4. Strong knowledge of international trade regulations and logistics standard practices.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
6. Exceptional negotiation skills with the ability to secure the best terms for the company.
7. Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex logistics data.
8. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
9. Proficiency in logistics software systems and tools.
10. Ability to travel as required to meet with suppliers, vendors, and partners.
