Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Director, Core Systems in the Finance industry to join our team. This role will be responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and management of our core banking systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Core Systems Engineering, Banking Systems, and Symitar. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering results, demonstrating a high level of technical expertise, and displaying exceptional leadership skills.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the overall operation of the core banking systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
• Develop and implement strategies for core system enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements.
• Drive the design and implementation of new system features and functionalities.
• Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices, and leverage this knowledge to drive continuous improvement.
• Manage the core systems team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role in the Banking or Credit Union industry.
• Proven experience with Core Systems Engineering, Banking Systems, and Symitar.
• Strong technical acumen, with a deep understanding of system architecture, design, and development.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system issues.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong understanding of the Mortgage industry, including relevant regulations and standards.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to change quickly.
