Director, AI Policy (GRC)

We are on the hunt for a passionate and experienced Director, AI Policy (GRC) to join our innovative team in the Technology industry. The ideal candidate will be an expert in creating and implementing AI policies and governance models, with a deep understanding of GRC, NIST AI, IEC 23053, NIST AI Risk Management Framework, IT Audit, Security Audit, Compliance, Big 4, AI and ML policy and governance, and AI Policy. This position requires a minimum of 5+ years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of AI policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.
• Work closely with the AI team to understand and anticipate the potential risks and regulatory requirements related to AI solutions.
• Oversee the AI risk management framework and ensure the AI systems adhere to NIST AI and IEC 23053 standards.
• Conduct IT and security audits to ensure compliance with the established AI policies and standards.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure alignment of AI policies with the overall business strategy.
• Provide strategic guidance on AI governance and risk management to the senior management and board of directors.
• Keep abreast of the latest developments in AI technology, regulations, and best practices.
• Coordinate with external auditors from Big 4 firms to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Foster a culture of transparency and accountability in AI usage and decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field. A Master's degree or higher is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in AI policy development, GRC, IT audit, and security audit.
• Proven experience in AI and ML policy and governance, and AI risk management.
• Extensive knowledge of NIST AI, IEC 23053, and other relevant AI standards and regulations.
• Experience working with Big 4 firms and managing compliance audits.
• Strong understanding of AI technologies, their potential risks, and the ethical considerations involved.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to translate complex AI concepts into understandable and actionable items for non-technical stakeholders.
• High ethical standards and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of confidentiality and data security.
• Certifications in GRC, IT Audit, or AI Policy would be a plus.
