The Application Engineer will be responsible for driving sales growth within the 3D printing industry by supporting clients and the sales team in all technical aspects of the sales pursuit process. The Application Engineer will provide guidance and technical support to thesales team and customers on material selection for projects; lead customer design for additive (DfAM) projects; solve customer application issues; and conduct training and lead workshops for customers.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the development of new products working with customers and the sales team
  • Perform engineering drawing reviews and provide final approval for manufacturing
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to customers to help them choose the right products and services for their needs
  • Perform engineering drawing reviews and provide final approval for manufacturing
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations and proposals to potential clients
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations to audiences inside and outside of the industry
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends and customer needs
  • Attend industry events and conferences to stay up-to-date with industry trends and network with potential clients

Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience in Application Engineering or a similar role
  • Experience with DFAM and CAD software
  • DfAM expertise on both polymer and metal applications
  • Reverse engineering capabilities (preferably with Keyence Scanners)
  • Strong technical proficiency in 3D printing technology and software
  • Demonstrated product development experience and acumen from pre-concept to completion
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar technical discipline
