Design Manager - Custom Luxury Homes

A new luxury development community is looking for their first Design Manager. This role would be a great fit for anyone that is looking to partner with the VP of Construction and their clients to develop world renown homes!

The homes start at 2mil with no ceiling for customization.

Job Details:

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Design Manager to join our team, specializing in the development of Luxury Homes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in luxury custom homes, a production environment, design consulting, interior design, and architecture. This role will be instrumental in leading our design team and providing innovative solutions to create high-end, luxurious homes that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The Design Manager will be responsible for overseeing all design aspects of our luxury home projects, from the conceptual stage to the final implementation. This is a full-time, permanent position requiring at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design team, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Oversee the development of design concepts for luxury homes, ensuring they meet client’s specifications and expectations.
• Coordinate with architects, interior designers, and other professionals to ensure designs are feasible and can be implemented effectively.
• Manage the design center, ensuring it is a productive and inspiring environment for the design team.
• Provide design consulting services to clients, helping them to visualize their dream home and make informed decisions about design elements.
• Stay abreast of the latest trends in luxury home design and incorporate these into designs where appropriate.
• Coordinate with construction teams to ensure designs are implemented correctly and any issues are resolved promptly.
• Conduct regular design reviews and make necessary adjustments to designs based on feedback from clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
• Ensure all designs comply with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, contractors, and other stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role, preferably within the luxury home construction industry.
• Proven experience as a Design Center Manager, managing a production environment.
• Extensive experience with luxury custom home designs.
• Proven experience in design consulting, interior design, and architecture.
• A degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field is preferred.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations.
• Exceptional creative and design skills, with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client service skills.
• Proficiency in design software, such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to overcome design challenges.
