We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Data Analyst to join our thriving team in the energy industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for data and analytics, looking to further their career in a highly strategic role. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing data-driven insights, and delivering strategic recommendations to drive our business forward.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive data analysis and interpretation to influence strategic decisions and policy-making.
2. Develop, implement and maintain data integration processes between systems.
3. Create and manage advanced reporting, analytics, dashboards and other BI solutions using Power BI.
4. Perform detailed data exploration and validation from a variety of sources.
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvement and potential areas where data can drive decision making.
6. Design and develop data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to customers and company leaders.
7. Maintain data integrity and ongoing quality control of delivered reports.
8. Develop and maintain databases, data systems, data pipelines, and data visualization tools.
9. Present and explain information in an accessible way, i.e., data visualization.
10. Proactively analyze trends and patterns in complex data sets, interpret, analyze and troubleshoot data.

  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in data analysis tools like SQL, Python, and data visualization tools like Tableau.

Qualifications:

1. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics or related field.
2. 5+ years of experience in a data analysis or related role.
3. Proficient in Power BI and other data visualization tools.
4. Strong knowledge of data integration and the creation of dashboards.
5. Experience in the Energy industry is highly desirable.
6. Exceptional analytical, quantitative, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
7. Strong understanding of data warehousing and ETL techniques.
8. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex data in a clear and concise manner.
9. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
10. Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently.
11. Familiarity with data management tools, including SQL, Python, or R is a plus.
