Job Details

Responsibilities:

The Criminal Law Associate Attorney will be responsible for a wide variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

1. Representing clients in court and before government agencies, presenting evidence to defend clients or prosecute defendants in criminal cases.
2. Conducting legal research and analysis of laws, regulations, and legal articles to assist in the preparation of reports, legal arguments, and briefs.
3. Advising clients concerning business transactions, claim liability, advisability of prosecuting or defending lawsuits, or legal rights and obligations.
4. Interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for clients in criminal law matters.
5. Preparing and drafting legal documents, such as wills, deeds, patent applications, mortgages, leases, and contracts.
6. Negotiating settlements in civil disputes.
7. Communicating with clients, colleagues, judges, and others involved in the case.
8. Conducting studies and research to analyze legal problems.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Criminal Law Associate Attorney position should possess the following qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
2. Admission to the State Bar.
3. At least 2+ years of experience in criminal law, DUI Defense, traffic ticket defense, and criminal defense law.
4. Proven track record of representing clients in court and achieving favorable results.
5. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, judges, and opposing counsel.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions.
7. Proficiency in legal research and writing.
8. Ability to handle a high caseload and work under pressure.
9. High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
