This position offers a unique opportunity to utilize your specialized skills in ALTA/NSPS land title surveys, land surveying, residential construction surveying, plot plans, foundations, topographic surveys, and boundary surveys. You will be working in a fast-paced, challenging environment, where every project brings new and exciting challenges. With your expertise, you will contribute significantly to our mission of providing top-quality construction and surveying services. This position requires a minimum of 3+ years of experience in a related field.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Crew Chief, your primary responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

1. Lead and manage a survey crew performing boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveys for public and private clients.
2. Ensuring the accurate and timely completion of fieldwork and related tasks.
3. calibrating and maintaining survey equipment to ensure its accuracy and reliability.
4. Interpreting and verifying the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
5. Identifying and marking positions for new structures, ensuring they comply with building and safety codes.
6. Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and other relevant parties.
7. Preparing and maintaining sketches, maps, reports, and legal descriptions of surveys to describe, certify, and assume liability for work performed.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Crew Chief position will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 3 years experience in land surveying
2. Strong knowledge of construction methods, engineering, and land surveying principles.
3. Proven ability to lead and supervise a team effectively.
4. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions.
5. Proficiency in using survey instruments and software.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex information to a variety of audiences.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
8. Ability to work in various weather conditions and stand for extended periods.
9. A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel as needed.
