Summary
Responsible for managing the cost accounting and fixed asset functions, implementing key business initiatives, and participating in plant operations, preparing internal and external financial/costing reports, partnering with various cross-functional teams, signing off that proper internal controls are in place and accounting policies are in accordance with US GAAP and Company policies.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Must have Cost Accounting experience
Oversee day-to-day cost accounting and fixed asset functions
Prepare various reporting by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing, and consolidating financial data
Manage the month-end close process and ensure timely and accurate completion
Preparing monthly accounting activities including but not limited to journal entries and account reconciliations
Provide cost accounting analysis and expertise to various departments (inventory turns, cost analysis etc.)
Responsible for recording and tracking fixed assets acquisitions, dispositions, and transfers; along with reconciling the fixed asset subledger
Leading the yearly physical inventory and quarterly cycle counts
Focus on process improvement opportunities across the organization
Review property tax accruals, tracking and working with consultant with fillings
Manage staff through effective training and coaching
Subject Matter Expert for Microsoft Business Central – emphasis on cost accounting
Review and maintain internal controls and related documents
Provide information to internal and external auditors, tax personnel, and investors

Requirements
7+ years of accounting experience
BS in Accounting or cost accounting certification is preferred
5+ years of cost accounting experience
Supervisory experience
Advanced License/Certificate preferred
Experience in manufacturing industry preferred
Advanced skills in Excel and Windows based applications
Sage Fixed Assets or similar software experience required
MS Dynamics 365 Business Central experience big plus
Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment
Ability to adapt to changing needs and prioritize to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
