Are you a numbers person with a passion for manufacturing? We are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Permanent Cost Accountant to join our team. This position plays a pivotal role in our organization, providing financial and cost analysis to guide strategic decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and analyzing cost expenditures and purchases within the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry, as well as a strong knowledge of cost accounting and financial regulations.

Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for:

1. Assisting in the month-end close process, including preparing and analyzing monthly cost variances, inventory adjustments, and general ledger reconciliations.
2. Conducting regular physical inventories and monitoring cycle count program.
3. Analyzing manufacturing costs and preparing regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
4. Making estimates of new and proposed product costs.
5. Working closely with manufacturing department to understand and analyze the impact of various operational issues on product costs.
6. Ensuring compliance with internal control procedures for inventory and fixed assets.
7. Providing management with reports that specify and compare factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.
8. Assisting in audits and general ledger preparation.
9. Adhering to and staying informed about GAAP regulations and policies.
10. Using Quickbooks for financial management and reporting purposes.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Permanent Cost Accountant position will have the following qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Cost Accounting in a manufacturing environment.
3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles and procedures, as well as GAAP regulations.
4. Proficiency in Quickbooks and other accounting software.
5. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
8. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
