Corporate Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Property Accountant to join our client's team. The Property Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial activities of the company's real estate portfolio, including budgeting, financial reporting, and lease administration.

Job Details:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Corporate Accountant to join our team in the Mortgage industry. This is a permanent position that offers an exciting opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, accounts payable and receivable, tax returns, bank reconciliations, and general ledger entries.

Responsibilities:

1. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
2. Manage all aspects of AR, AP and Accruals.
3. Conduct regular ledger procedures and timely bank reconciliations.
4. Analyze financial data and create forecasting models.
5. Ensure compliance with organizational and state financial regulations.
6. Develop budgets, monitor them, and prepare budget-to-actual variance analyses.
7. Utilize Yardi software for various accounting operations.
8. Assist with tax audits and tax returns.
9. Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
10. Liaise with our Financial manager and Accounting manager to improve financial procedures.
11. Provide support in special projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
2. A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced knowledge of MS Excel.
4. Strong experience with Yardi software, AR/AP, accurate bank reconciliations, and financial statements.
5. Solid understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
6. Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting, and cost control principles.
7. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and management skills.
8. Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity.
