Controls Technician

Join our 125 year old company that focuses on high quality natural food products with some of the best technology in the industry. This role is critical to perform routine and emergency diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems, and perform repairs.

**** This is an AWS shift, 6AM - 6:30PM. 14 hours of OT included every 2 weeks.

Job Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, service and repair the computerized systems and robotic devices that are designed to reduce human interaction, such as robotic assembly devices and computer-controlled building air-conditioning systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems such as PLC programs, motor VFD's and other electronic systems.
• Troubleshoot, Modify, and Maintain a variety of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) using ,Historian, Compact-Logix, Allen Bradley PLC 5, Allen Bradley SLC 500, Allen Bradley CLX 5500, Allen Bradley Panel View platforms.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years’ experience in the following:

o Electrical Instrumentation and calibration.
o PLC programming and troubleshooting of programs
o Electrical and PLC documentation reading and writing.
o Training in electrical, electronics and PLCs.
o Experience VFDs and motion control.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Certifications from an accredited program in Electronics, Industrial Power, Robotics, and / or Automation
• Specific, in depth technical knowledge and expertise with Tetra Pak and/or Stork Aseptic filling equipment
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical operation and optimization of Food Process and Packaging systems.
• Experience in Aseptic Processing and Packaging Systems.
• Beckhoff Automation PLC and HMI experience
• Robotics experience
• Demonstrated experience in vision inspection systems (Cognex, Keyence, etc.)
